Mushroom Briyani

Mushroom Briyani, jotted the recipe down from a cookery show by Mallika Badrinath and I have been making this for so many years now. It's an easy dish and the mushrooms give a nice flavor to this briyani. We don't add any ghee in this briyani, so it's vegan too, the method is slightly different from the regular briyani and it tastes awesome. Serve it with some potato chips and raitha or curd for a delicious meal..

Mushroom Parathas

Today's post is another paratha, and this time, the stuffing is with mushrooms. I have tasted mushroom kulchas at restaurants, but I was not sure how the mushroom stuffing was going to taste in the paratha. I added the regular spices and some spring onions to add some flavor to the filling. The parathas turned out to be too good, and they tasted great on their own, you don't even need a pickle or curd on the side.

Mushroom And Peas Pulao

Hope everybody had a nice weekend and all of you mothers out there, a Happy Mothers Day. Today's pulao or pilaf recipe is something that I had jotted down long time back, a mild pulao with mushrooms and peas, but extremely flavorful. The ingredients are very simple, and the process even more simpler, the original recipe used regular basmati rice, but I replaced it with brown basmati, making it a little more healthier..

Stuffed Mushrooms

It was spring break for my daughter, so we went to New York, though we had been there many times before, this was the first time we stayed there for a couple of days. Had a wonderful time and also had a chance to taste some very good food, had dinner at Eataly and  Vatan and tasted some delicious cupcakes from the famous Magnolia Bakery. I was amazed at the wide variety of food available here and also at the number of restaurants, both small and big, had a great time. Coming to today's recipe, I had wanted to make stuffed mushrooms for a long time, got the mushrooms, was thinking about different fillings and finally settled on this, an onion and tomato one, it tasted great..

Mushroom And Potato Curry

Everyone at home likes mushrooms, so it makes an appearance on our menu at least once in two weeks. There are a variety of dishes that you can come up using them, pilafs, kurmas and curries. I had made this curry a couple of weeks back, it goes very well with rotis, naans and even rice. It's very simple, but, adding the grated ginger and chopped coriander at the end gives it a nice flavor, give it a shot..
